Karateclub Brugge respects your privacy and your personal data.

The processing of your personal data is limited to only data that is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed. We do not pass on personal information to third parties, unless this is strictly necessary. This includes the information to join the Flemish Karate Federation and the insurance (applies to club members only). The following identification data is processed: name, first name, date of birth, nationality, telephone number and e-mail. The other data is only processed by staff members from Karateclub Brugge itself.

This data is processed by staff members and volunteers (e.g. trainers, with limited access) of the association.

E-mail is only used to inform members who allow e-mail communication and used only to inform you about important activities such as events, promotion exams, training cancellation or changes in the training schedule or location, and other information directly related to the activities of our association. On request you can be removed from the mailing list, and you will no longer be informed.

Photos can be made during activities. These may be published on our Facebook page (restricted membership) or on our (public) website. If you do not want to be in such photos, please take the necessary measures yourself by notifying the photographer and distancing yourself from group photos when taken. If you do appear on a published photo, you can always contact us with the request to remove it.

Member attendance is registered for each training. This is used to collect statistical information on the number of participants, to determine who is eligable for participation in a promotion exam (requires a minimum number of training session participations) and to prepare the covid-19 list (if still applicable), which is mandatory since mid-2020 for contact tracing purposes.

You have the right to request a copy of your personal data.

Karateclub Brugge does not keep the data any longer than strictly needed, and if your are no longer a member, your personal data (including ranking and training participations) will be removed.
